Fillers

Q. What are fillers ?

Fillers are all non-surgical, FDA-approved, used to instantly smooth away moderate to severe wrinkles like smile lines (the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth) as well as plump the lips and restore lost volume for a fresher, more youthful appearance.

Q. How Do fillers Work?

Fillers are clear gel like substances composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally exists in the body. Unfortunately we produce less and less of this HA as we age, which leads to dehydration, lack of volume, drooping and deepening of lines and wrinkles. When you receive a treatment with fillers the lost hyaluronic acid is added back into the skin, restoring the lost volume to smooth the wrinkles or add fullness to lips HA binds with water increasing hydration. Fillers are made of a fully degradable complex sugar molecule and have been used around the world for several years now with fantastic results and an outstanding safety record.

Q. Where can we use fillers ?

Fillers are mainly used for the following

1. Laugh lines (lines from your nose to the corner of lips)

2. Drooping of the corners of lips

3. under eye lines or tear trough

4. Hollow eyes

5. Cheek, temple area enhancement

6. Chin augmentation

7. Permanent frown lines

8. Hand rejuvenation

Q. Are Dermal Fillers Safe ?

There are minimal risks associated with dermal fillers, most of which can be avoided by choosing an experienced injector, such as one of the medical & nursing professionals at Ideal Image.

Q. How Long Does Each Dermal Filler Last ?

Hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm which is FDA-approved lasts up to one year. Juvederm voluma lasts for up to one and half years.

Q. What does the dermal filler treatment entail ?

Fillers are deposited into the skin in a very painless and gentle procedure. We use a numbing cream prior to the fillers injection which minimises the discomfort. Since it usually takes such a short time, it’s often referred to as a ‘lunchtime procedure’. We can use fillers with in-built anesthetic agent, which reduces the pain.

Q. What if I don’t like what I see ?

One of the biggest advantages of dermal fillers is that an antidote can be injected into the skin, which results in the product dissolving within 24 hours. This gives you the option of reversing the treatment if you aren’t happy with what you see.

Q. How soon will I see a difference?

You'll see the results of the fillers soon as the procedure is done.
