For PRP we take the patient’s own blood .Add it into a special tube and process it in a special centrifuge machine with complete sterile precautions so that the platelets get separated from the blood. We get a light brown coloured solution which is very rich in platelets. This solution of platelets contains many growth factors which strengthens the hair. The affected area is treated with the PRP solution with a dermaroller, mesogun or an insulin syringe.

A. PRP can be done till the desired results are achieved.sessions are done at a gap of 2 to 3 weeks. maintenance sessions can be done at a gap of 3 to 4 months.

A. We use a numbing cream prior to the procedure to reduce the discomfort of the procedure.

In fact, we encourage it and prescribe PRP therapy as a compliment to a non-surgical approach for those patients who are not eligible for surgery or who want to delay hair restoration surgery. We recommend PRP therapy along with Minoxidil and DHT blockers or for those patients who can’t tolerate or have side effects with these medications.
